Johannes Andre Grobbelaar

Jannie Grobbelaar has in excess of 40 years investment banking experience with a strong focus and track record in both corporate finance and private equity and has built up a strong network in both the listed and unlisted markets.
During his career he had been closely involved with some of the highest profile IPOs and corporate actions on the JSE.
Prior to joining Salt Capital, Jannie was a member of the Exco at Grindrod Bank in South Africa.
Previously, he held senior management positions at a number of investment banks and stockbrokers.
He has held board positions in many companies in South Africa in the capacity of private equity investor and designated advisor to JSE listed companies.
Based out of Salt Capital’s South African office, Jannie and Aris (below) are responsible for driving the firms’ investment strategy across Southern Africa.
Jannie has a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA from the University of Stellenbosch and is a CFA charterholder.
