James Hung

James Hung joined BASF Venture Capital GmbH as an Investment Manager in January 2009.
The main focus of his work is to scout innovative start-ups through venture and incubation networks in Asia Pacific.
He performs due diligence and manages the portfolio companies.
He joined BASF in 2002 and worked in his previous position as a Manager for Strategy and Technology of the Global Business Unit of Electronic Materials and a General Manager of BASF Electronic Materials (Shanghai) Company Limited.
Before joining BASF, he worked for other multinational companies in electronic chemicals and display components.
James Hung acquired his Ph.
D.
degree in chemistry at Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA and EMBA degree at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA.
