Hajime Furuya

Hajime joined GB in 2021.
With his expertise in government policies for startups, he researches the requirements of various policies including regulatory reform tools for driving new businesses and investment/lending and give GB and startups advice when examining utilization of those policies.
Prior to joining GB, Hajime was responsible for revising the Industrial Competitiveness Enhancement Act, enhancing fundraising system for unlisted companies, proceeding with regulatory reform through the sandbox framework, etc.
as manager for startup policies at METI.
Before that, he worked at a leading Japanese PE fund as partner/managing director and invested in various industrial sectors.
With his extensive experience and expertise at private and public organizations, he strives to further enhance the startup ecosystem.
