Gim Hong Tan

Mr. Tan is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Cerberus’ frontier market investment platform.
He joined Cerberus in 2018 when the Firm acquired SGI Frontier Capital to strategically advance its investment activities in emerging and frontier markets.
Mr. Tan has significant finance experience across the Asia-Pacific region in a variety of sectors, including building materials, technology, and audit.
Mr. Tan had been with SGI Frontier for approximately seven years as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.
Prior to SGI Frontier, he held senior finance roles with various Asia-Pacific business units of Lafarge, a world leader in building materials, and separately, Seagate Technology, a manufacturer and distributor of hard disk drives.
During his tenure with Lafarge, he established a shared service center in China, rolled out business systems in Lafarge China units, and was involved in the acquisition of cement companies in both China and the Philippines.
Mr. Tan is a fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) as well as a member of the Institute of Singapore Certified Accountant.
