Gerald F. Banks

Mr. Gerald F.
Banks has been a member of the Florida Board of Managers since 2007.
Prior to that, Mr. Banks joined Standard Mortgage Corporation as a commercial real estate analyst in 1981, progressing through successive levels of responsibility there and at United Life Insurance Company.
In 1986, he founded Rowena Corporation, provider of management consulting, investment management, and market development in the fields of real estate, healthcare, and food manufacturing and distribution.
From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Banks was an employee of a client, American General Corporation serving as a member of the development team of “Hunter’s Creek,” an award winning 4,000-acre master-planned community in Orlando, FL.
He returned to Rowena Corporation upon the sale of American General’s real estate portfolio.
From 2003 to 2010, Mr. Banks took on additional responsibilities serving as president of Action Ice, LLC, a leading manufacturer and distributor of packaged ice in Florida, now part of Reddy Ice.
Mr. Banks has served as the chairman of the Florida State University College of Business Board of Governors, the Newman Centers of Central Florida, and the St. Margaret Mary School Board of Education.
He is an alumnus of the United States Department of Defense National Security Forum and served as a member of the Episcopal Governance Commission of the Diocese of Orlando Synod.
Mr. Banks is a recipient of the Distinguished Graduate Award of the National Catholic Education Association.
Mr. Banks received a business management degree from Florida State University in 1979.
He continued post-graduate studies in philosophy and theology at St. Meinrad College.
