Prior to joining PFM in 2007, Mr. Merck was a partner in Future Perfect Partners where he was one of the chief developers of the Future Perfect financial planning model and service offering.
There, he headed the marketing, training, and support efforts for the enterprise.
For over 30 years prior to and while developing Future Perfect, he served in various capacities in higher education.
He served as both CFO and faculty at several colleges and universities, including Wheaton College, the Eastman School of Music, and Wesleyan University.
He also worked as an independent consultant to higher education institutions throughout his career.
Mr. Merck holds an MA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
