Doug Rubin

Mr. Doug Rubin is Operating Partner at Fireman Capital Partners.Mr. Rubin joined FCP in September of 2009.
He previously spent the past 2 years as Chief of Staff to Governor Deval Patrick, with responsibility for executing the administration’s policy agenda and overseeing the day-to-day management of state government.
He is credited with bringing stability and professional management to the Executive Office.
He also spent three years as the First Deputy Treasurer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mr. Rubin was also the founder of a successful consulting company, with a mix of political and corporate clients.
He developed the strategy and helped execute the two biggest “upset” campaigns of the past two election cycles in Massachusetts - the Deval Patrick campaign for Governor in 2006.
Mr. Rubin is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Masters in Public Policy from the John F.
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He is a recipient of the 1997 Policy Analysis Exercise Award presented by the Kennedy School for his thesis, “Leveling the Playing Field: Minority Candidates Running in Majority-White Districts”.
He lives outside Boston with his wife and their three daughters.
