David Bowen

Prior to the formation of Ascend, Mr. Bowen was a Director of Salomon Smith Barney.
During his time at Salomon, Mr. Bowen was responsible for providing some of the firms largest industrial clients with a broad range of financial advice, including mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt financing proposals and strategic corporate finance.
Prior thereto, Mr. Bowen worked for Goldman Sachs in its Global Finance and Asset Management Departments in both the firms New York and London offices.
Over the course of Mr. Bowen's investment banking career, he executed numerous debt and equity financings and several mergers & acquisition transactions.
Mr. Bowen currently serves as a director of SageMetrics Corporation; and The NewsMarket, Inc. Mr. Bowen also is a trustee of Williams College and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) Trust.
Mr. Bowen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford Universitys School of Business.
