The firm was founded in 1993 as Deerfield Capital Management LLC and became CIFC Investment Management in 2018. They are wholly owned directly by CIFC Capital HoldCo LLC, which is an indirect subsidiary of CIFC LLC. CIM primarily provide investment management services to pooled investment vehicles that are CLOs and to private funds and investors that invest in corporate and structured credit.
