Damian Tan

Dr. Damian Tan joined Vickers in 2005 as a venture partner.
He has been a Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee as of July 1, 2014, and is based in Singapore.
He has over 30 years of hands-on experience in the field of IT in companies and technologies such as Hewlett Packard, Digital, Far East Computers, Olivetti, Oracle and Apple.
In these companies, he had spearheaded the adoption and deployment of core technologies such as Cloud Computing, Secure Datacenters, Internet Technologies, Databases, High-Speed Networks, Enterprise Systems, Outsourcing Services, and Mobile and Wireless Computing.
Dr. Tan has extensive project management experience having been involved with the direction of large, complex technology projects in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and the U.S.
He has been a proponent of project management in the Asia-Pacific region and has been extensively involved in the training and mentorship of over 200 project management professionals across Asia.
Throughout his career, Dr. Tan has assumed different positions, roles and responsibilities - such as system developer, territory sales manager, application solutions architect and project director in highly complex billion dollar projects for government and enterprise customers alike.
These involved large teams of specialists, high-tech solution partners and customer management.
From his experience in start-up businesses to large international companies, he is passionate about entrepreneurship and advises several small and medium enterprises, companies and businesses.
Dr. Tan earned a professional degree from the British Computer Society.
He also holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the California Intercontinental University and a Master of Science with Distinction (First Class Honours) from Middlesex University.
