Mr. Damian R.
Chunilal is a Managing Director at Ocean Capital Management Ltd.
He was previously employed as Head-Pacific Rim Investment Banking by Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. unil November 11, 2008.
He joined Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. in 1989.
He has worked in the securities industry for over 20 years.
Prior to investing in Capital Securities for his own account he worked for Merrill Lynch and ran Investment Banking and Capital Markets for the Pacific Rim region (Asia, Japan, India and Australia) and, prior to that, Debt Capital Markets in Europe.
He founded Merrill Lynch's Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets Group in Europe and subsequently ran it globally.
The group became the leader in raising capital securities for financial institutions and he was at the forefront in developing this market with issuers and investors.
He was also very actively involved in the recapitalization of the Nordic Banking system during the 1990s financial crisis.
He holds an MA in Economics from University of Cambridge, is a British citizen and is a Permanent Resident of Hong Kong.
