Chris McDonald

Mr. Chris McDonald is a Manager at The Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
He is under the Forecasting team in the Economics Department.
The Forecasting Team supports monetary policy decision making by providing macroeconomic forecasts and analysis of current economic conditions to the Monetary Policy Committee.
Mr. McDonald has spent much of the past decade modelling and forecasting the New Zealand economy.
He has researched the effects of migration and macroprudential policies, looked at the drivers of the New Zealand dollar and developed national house price measures, among other things.
He spent 6 months in 2014 at the Bank for International Settlements regional office in Hong Kong.
