William C. Woo

Mr. Woo is a Managing Director of TSG Equity Partners.
His responsibilities include new deal generation, portfolio investment management, fund raising and business development.
Prior to joining TSG, Mr. Woo was a Principal at Advent International, a Boston-based private equity investment firm with $4.0 billion under management.
At Advent, he focused on buyouts and later-stage investments in the business-to-business, consumer, financial services and health care industries.
He managed investments in and/or exits from twelve companies during his time at Advent.
Previously, he worked for Patricof & Co. Ventures in New York, focusing on buyout and later-stage private equity investments in media and communications, consumer and business services and health care services.
He also evaluated and structured a number of acquisition, divestiture and financing transactions while a member of the Merchant Banking Group at Oppenheimer & Co. Mr. Woo currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Vermont Teddy Bear Co. (Nasdaq: BEAR), Katahdin Industries, Automated Resources Group, Inc. and First Point Energy.
Mr. Woo has served on the Board of Directors of Dollar Express and CountryBanc Holdings and as an advisor to the Boards of six other private companies.
Mr. Woo received a BA in History from Columbia University and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He serves as President of the Columbia University Club of New England and is a member of the Phillips Academy Alumni Council.
