Mr. Scheer sits on the boards of Oxygen Media and Vulcan Sports Media, and is a member of the Vulcan Capital Investment Committee.
Mr. Scheer has more than 12 years of private equity and operations experience across various industry sectors, including media and communications, information services, financial services and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Vulcan Capital, he was a managing partner of London-based Berkeley Capital, a private equity firm focused on investing in private equity, special situations and restructuring transactions.
Mr. Scheer was also an investor in Infinata, a provider of information services, and ConsumerNet, a provider of database management services, and served as president of both companies.
Earlier, he served as a vice president of the Private Equity Group at Bank Austria Creditanstalt and as an associate of the Capital Investment Group at General Mills.
Mr. Scheer holds a BS in finance and marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
