Thomas C. Blackburn

Mr. Blackburn joined Kansas Venture Capital, Inc. in December 1988.
He has been employed in the investment business for 17 years in a variety of capacities.
Prior to joining KVCI, he was employed by Stern Brothers & Co., a Kansas City investment banking firm, where he worked in corporate finance and was responsible for the Equity Syndicate Department.
Mr. Blackburn spent his first four years in the investment business as a retail stockbroker with Merrill Lynch and Piper Jaffray in their Kansas City offices.
Mr. Blackburn holds both a B.S.
Degree in Business Administration (1982) and an M.B.A.
(1984) from the University of Kansas.
He has and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of both publicly held and private companies in varied industries.
He was elected President of the Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies in 1997 and served on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies.
He also was elected President of the Kansas City Securities Association in 1997 and has served on its Board since 1991.
