Carroll is Founding Partner & Chief Quantitative Strategist at Genesis Asset Management LLC.
Prior to co-founding Genesis Asset Management in 2007, he served as Director of Research for Magnet Investment Group LLC, the general partner for the Magnet Disciplined Market Neutral Fund.
Dr. Carroll is a professor of finance in the W.
Averell Harriman School of Management at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He has served as a consultant to the governments of Canada and Thailand, as well as to several corporations, including CITIBANK, Nabisco, and PPG.
He is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Dr. Carroll received a BS in Engineering Physics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D.
in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
