Shinobu Kasaya

Mr. Shinobu Kasaya is Chief Investment Officer at Pictet Asset Management (Japan) Ltd.
He joined Pictet Asset Management (Japan) Ltd.
in 2001 as a Senior Investment Manager, responsible for managing Japanese equity funds.
He is now First Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer for PAM Japan, responsible for managing major mutual funds including Yamato, the flagshipmutual fund of PAM in Japan.
Mr. Kasaya began his fund management career in 1985 with Fidelity Japan,first as a Japanese equity analyst and then as a portfolio manager.
As an analyst he covered almost all sectors, with many years of experience in the automotive andreal-estate sectors.
He moved to Commerz International Capital Management(Japan) as a Senior Portfolio Manager in 1995, where he demonstrated his talent in finding and investing successfully in small-mid cap Japanese growth stocks.He currently manages the mutual fund Pictet Nippon Growth Fund and Pictet Nippon Premier Growth Fund launched as an aggressively managed growth fund in 2003.
Mr. Kasaya graduated with an MS in Economics from Arizona State University.
He is a chartered member of the Security Analysts of Association of Japan.
