Sergio Valderrama

Mr. Sergio Valderrama is a Director, Portfolio Manager & Analyst at Lazard Asset Management LLC.
He is part of the Lazard's Emerging Markets Debt team focusing on the hard currency sovereign debt strategies.
Prior to joining Lazard in 2010, Mr. Valderrama was a sovereign analyst at Moody’s Investors Service where he performed credit analysis on a portfolio of countries.
He was responsible for the production of sovereign reports, monitoring of risk and maintenance of sovereign databases.
While at Moody’s, he participated in sovereign rating committee decisions.
Before that, he was an economist at IDEAglobal.
He began working in the investment field in 1999.
Mr. Valderrama has an MBA from New York University and a BA from Ithaca College.
