Mr. Mike Zito is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cellnet, the leading industry provider of fixed-network automatic meter reading (AMR) and distribution automation (DA) solutions.He has held this position since April 2003.
Prior to that appointment, he held several controller positions with Schlumberger at divisions both in the United States and abroad, including water meter manufacturing, electricity meter manufacturing, telecom billing services, smart card distribution, semiconductor test equipment and most recently consulting and systems integration for the energy sector.
He started his career at Schlumberger in 1989 and was with the company until it sold the Cellnet division to Atos Origin in early 2004.
He then orchestrated a partnership with GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC that led to the management buyout, and resulting independence, of Cellnet.
His numerous accomplishments include the successful integration of business units, consolidation of support functions, and the implementation of several key automation tools.
He is also accredited for significant cost saving programs and has been instrumental in assembling the team and vision behind the turn around experienced by Cellnet during his tenure.
Prior to joining Schlumberger, Mr. Zito spent two years with the textile firm West Point Pepperell.
He holds BS Accounting from Auburn University.
