Michael Robertson

Mr. Michael T.
Robertson, CFA MBA, is a Head of Systematic ESG Research at Fidelity Management & Research Co. LLC.
He is a portfolio manager in the Equity division at Fidelity Investments.
In this role, Mr. Robertson leads quantitative research related to ESG and sustainability across all asset classes, including the development and oversight of systematic ESG ratings, the integration of sustainability into portfolio construction, and the measurement of portfolio exposure to sustainability risks and opportunities.
He was a quantitative analyst on the embedded equity quantitative research team, where he was responsible for building and researching alpha models, as well as analyzing and modeling portfolio risk to enhance investment decisions affecting Fidelity's equity strategies.
Mr. Robertson was also embedded with the ESG team where he led quantitative research efforts that support Fidelity's ESG strategies.
Prior to joining Fidelity, he was a consulting associate at Charles River Associates.
In this capacity, he assisted clients with mergers and acquisitions, and calculated economic damages in complex antitrust and intellectual property litigation.
He has been in the financial industry since joining Fidelity in 2016.
He earned his bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Boston University, his master of education degree from Harvard University, and his master of business administration degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
He is also a CFA charter holder.
