Before founding Black Diamond Financial, he was a senior investment professional in the Venture Capital Group of Harbert Management Corporation where he invested a $52 million fund in early stage technology and healthcare companies.
Prior to joining Harbert, Mr. Goette spent five years with Jefferies & Company, Inc. in their Investment Banking Group.
While at Jefferies, he helped orchestrate numerous merger and acquisition, restructuring, equity, and debt transactions.
Prior to joining Jefferies, he worked in the Investment Banking Group of BB&T Corporation.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in finance and economics from The College of William and Mary, where he graduated with High Honors.
Mr. Goette is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, Accredited Investment Fiduciary, and member of the CFA Society of Baltimore.
