Kel H. Landis

Kel, a co-founder and Partner at Plexus Capital, has over 30 years of experience in banking, financial services, investment management, and private capital.
He leads the fundraising efforts for the firm, serves on the investment committee, and is active in sourcing new investment opportunities and overseeing portfolio companies.
After retiring as CEO of RBC Centura Bank, Kel co-founded Plexus in 2005.
He is a William C.
Friday Fellow for Human Relations and has since served as a Trustee of UNC-Chapel Hill, Chair of the UNC Board of Visitors, Trustee of Elizabeth City State University, and as an adjunct professor of finance for the Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Currently, he is a member of the UNC Foundation’s board of directors, a member of the board of visitors for the Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a Trustee for The Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise.
Kel is a former chair of the North Carolina Bankers Association, served as Senior Advisor for Business and Economic Affairs for the Governor of North Carolina and as Trustee of the North Carolina State Supplemental Retirement Fund.
He is a board member for the North Carolina Community Foundation, which provides support for community foundations across the state.
Kel is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA.
