In addition to his role with Rising Tide, Mr. Mereur joined Newbury in 2000 as a Venture Partner.
He served as Deputy Director of the France Telecom R&D Center (called CNET before 1999) and President of France Telecom Technology, an affiliate of France Telecom involved in Technology Transfer.
He worked 35 years in the R&D Center and over the years he served in a variety of capacities, including Director of Strategy and Programs.
As Deputy Director of CNET, among other positions he has held, he was responsible for spinning 12 companies out of CNET labs such as Highwave Optical, Algety (acquired by Corvis and now Broadwing), NetCentrex (acquired by Comverse), LEA (acquired by HF Company) and High Deal.
He currently serves on the Board of Innovacom.
Mr. Mereur received his degree in telecommunications engineering from the National University for Telecommunication.
