Jay R. Merves

Mr. Jay R.
Merves is a Managing Director at GSC Group (New Jersey).
Mr. Merves joined GSC Partners in 2006.
Mr. Merves was previously with Assured Guaranty as Managing Director and Head of Credit Derivatives where he worked on managing relationships with derivative counterparties, and for sourcing and closing credit derivative transactions on a global basis.
Prior to joining Assured Guaranty, he was Engagement Manager for Chase Consulting Associates, an affiliate of Chase Manhattan Bank.
His responsibilities included transaction structuring for complex securitizations and development of value added consulting services for entities such as finance companies, banks and commercial paper conduits.
From 1991-1998, Mr. Merves was a Senior Business Development Manager for GE Capital Services/Financial Guaranty Insurance Company focusing primarily on Structured Finance and Asset-backed Security transactions.
Mr. Merves graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.
degree and from The Stanford University Graduate School of Business with a M.B.A degree.
