Prior to joining Element Capital, Mr. Stipanov worked as Vice President in Interest Rate Strategy at Morgan Stanley with a primary focus on macro and RV trade ideas in US interest rate derivatives.
He also did considerable work in cash interest rate products and in other G7 currencies, including the development of a novel technique for modeling volatility returns that was awarded a US patent.
Mr. Stipanov received an MBA with honors in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar.
He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S.E.
in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Duke University, where he was awarded the Gerard Sherrerd III Memorial award as the top graduating student in his department.
