James H.
Lorie, aged 83 years, has been one of our directors since we commenced operations in June 1993.
He currently is Eli B.
and Harriet B.
Williams Professor Emeritus of Business Administration in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.
He has been Director of Research, Associate Dean and Acting Dean of the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago.
He has been a consultant to SRI on the future of the securities industry and has been a member of the National Market Advisory Board, the Board of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Board of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., and the Board of Directors of Elsinore Corporation, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., the Square D Company and the Vulcan Materials Company.
He is a graduate of Cornell University, B.A.
and M.A., and the University of Chicago, Ph.D.
