James M.
Collins is a member of the independent advisory board of Frontier Performance Fund I LLC (the “Frontier”) and special advisor to Arch River Capital LLC and Arch River Navigator Fund I LP (“Arch River”) where he contributes his expertise in the areas of corporate, and military industry-related special projects; domestic and international corporate due-diligence; and geopolitical assessments and analysis of opportunities introduced to Frontier and Arch River.
Mr. Collins is Principal with Jimmy Collins & Associates, a Washington State firm engaged in leadership and business consulting with executives in business, government, and non-profit organizations.
He has more than two decades in various executive management roles for Weyerhaeuser Company.
As VP for procurement, he and his team were responsible for nearly $4 billion of annual acquisitions in material, services, electricity, natural gas, equipment, and other manufacturing requirements.
Mr. Collins has also led teams in diverse corporate functions such as information technology (applications and infrastructure), finance, sales, account management, supplier management, organizational development, and other essential roles related to general management.
In addition, he chaired the Weyerhaeuser Foundation’s employee committee that awarded certain grants in the Puget Sound region.
He also held military officer positions in the U.S.
Army culminating as Major General.
Collins’ government service included thirty-five years in active duty Army and Reserve leadership roles.
His initial active service included assignments in Europe (USEUCOM headquarters) and the United States (Georgia, Oklahoma, California, and Washington).
