Guy J. Chipparoni

Noted for its team of experienced professionals with government and corporate and frontline media backgrounds, the firm's client base has tripled since Chipparoni launched his group in 1998.
Prior to his founding of Res Publica Group, Chipparoni began and was the president of the public affairs division of KemperLesnik Communications.
Preceding his work at KemperLesnik, Chipparoni was senior managing director of public affairs and interim general manager at Hill & Knowlton's Chicago office.
Prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, Chipparoni served as a Press Secretary to the Illinois Secretary of State Jim Edgar through his campaign and election to the Governorship.
Through his experience in the public and private sectors, Chipparoni has developed an expertise in building local, regional, statewide and federal support for corporate and government initiatives from the community level up.
He has done so using his extensive government experience and strong working relationships with print and broadcast media.
In 1998, Chipparoni received a gubernatorial appointment to the 11-member board of the Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Authority to oversee Navy Pier and McCormick Place, a position he was reappointed to and still retains.
Chipparoni is a 1981 graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism.
He resides in Wilmette with his wife and three children.
