American Security Bank was opened in September, 1990, as Sun Country Bank. In the fall of 2003, the Bank’s holdings expanded through the purchase of PriVest Bank, a single location in Santa Ana. In June of 2005 the Bank changed its name to American Security Bank. From June, 2005 to November, 2008, the Bank’s footprint expanded through the opening of new offices in Corona and Apple Valley; the relocation of its headquarters from Santa Ana to Newport Beach; the relocation of its commercial real estate lending division to the headquarters facility; and the construction of an updated office that replaced its flagship Apple Valley office. The bank currently operates five full-service banking offices. Two loan production offices and two convenient electronic banking vestibules. The four-county footprint served by American Security Bank includes the High Desert region of San Bernardino County, the Antelope Valley region of Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, and Orange County.
