Mr. Dion J.
Albanese is Senior Managing Director at Weeden & Co. LP.
He is responsible for all trading technology related to cash, program trading, electronic, international and options systems.
For the past 15 years he was Head of the Program Trading Desk.
He spearheaded the development of trading strategies for clients and orchestrated their implementation on a daily basis.
As an employee with Weeden & Co. for over 25 years, he was one of the architects of the firm’s program trading business.
Mr. Albanese knowledge of the mechanics of trading, particularly in the electronic realm, was formed in the beginning of his career, first an Options Trader, and then as a Block Trader on Weeden's Listed Equity desk.
He began his career on Wall St. in 1984 at Moseley, Hallgarten, Estabrook & Weeden, the predecessor to the current Weeden & Co.
Mr. Albanese received his BA in Marketing from Pace University.
