During his career, Mr. Abajian has been involved in a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, hotels, gaming, filmed entertainment and other media.
His expertise lies in strategic planning, transaction structuring, negotiations, due diligence and finance.
Prior to co-founding Bridger Capital, he was the Vice President, Corporate Development of Imax Corporation where he was responsible for the company's acquisitions and divestments, workouts and a number of other initiatives.
Mr. Abajian led the acquisition of and investment in a number of companies, was a member of the company's Research and Development Committee and led an interdisciplinary team that planned for a transition in the company's core technology.
Most recently he led Imax through the resolution of the bankruptcy of a number of the company's theatre exhibition clients.
Before joining Imax, Mr. Abajian worked at ITT Corporation, primarily in its hotels and gaming division, where he progressed through several finance positions before joining the company's Corporate Development group.
He assumed a leading position in that group where he completed the largest hotel acquisition in the history of the company and the company's first joint venture investment in the People's Republic of China.
He also participated in ITT's growth into media businesses including cable television, sports and newer media such as interactive television.
He was responsible for a number of acquisitions and dispositions in the United States and a several other countries while with ITT.
Mr. Abajian started his career in Boston with one of the world's leading accounting firms.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho and is a Certified Public Accountant.
