Dr. Christine Bertram is a Research Assistant at Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
The main research interests of Christine Bertram are related to the economic aspects of the sustainable management of marine resources and services.
Moreover, she is interested in climate economics, the non-market valuation of environmental goods and services, and the direct impacts of ecological amenities on human well-being.
Ms. Bertram is strongly involved in interdisciplinary research, carried out, e.g., within the network "The Future Ocean" based in Kiel.
Currently, her research is predominantly related to the project "Economic assessments of coastal blue carbon ecosystems" (ECO BLUE) funded by Kiel Marine Science based at Kiel University.
Dr. Christine Bertram is a postdoctoral researcher at the Kiel Institute, focusing on ocean and climate-related topics in the Research Center, the Environment and Natural Resources.
She studied Business Administration in Hanover and International Economics in Kiel and received her Ph.D.
in 2015.
