Chris Smith

As Vice President, Development Chris is responsible for spearheading the development of new products and extending the functionality of current platforms and applications.
He also plays a lead role in co-development opportunities.
Chris has more than 20 years experience in enterprise software development including executive positions in both Canada and the U.S.
Chris joined InSystems from Ironside Technologies where, as Vice President of Product Development, he played a key role in building a solid development organization, expanded the solution footprint, and leveraged customer-funded development.
Prior to joining Ironside, Chris was Vice President of Product Development with FreeMarkets, Adexa and Marcam Solutions.
Earlier in his career Chris held several increasingly responsible software development positions with IBM Canada where he gained valuable experience using IBM processes and ‘best practices’.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, he holds a BSc in Math and Physics and a MSc in Astrophysics.
His extended professional development education includes the Executive Development Program at Cornell University, the IBM Advanced Leadership Program and Project Management certification from George Washington University.
