Charles E. Foster

Mr. Charles E.
Foster, II CFA, is Co-Founder at Blankinship & Foster LLC.
He co-founded Blankinship & Foster in 1989.
Throughout his financial planning career, he assisted clients with their personal financial planning and investment management.
His work focused on helping clients achieve greater control over, and improved results in, their financial affairs.
In support of his professional activities, Mr. Foster was licensed to use the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) mark by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
He earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) awarded by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (now CFA Institute).
He has served as Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee for the Salk Institute, Chairman of the San Diego Foundation’s Professional Advisor Council, and President of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego.
He has held membership in the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the Financial Planning Association, the CFA Society of San Diego, the CFA Institute, the La Jolla Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section, the Estate Planning Council of San Diego, and the Salk Community Advisory Board.
He continues to serve on the investment committees of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and United Way of San Diego.
Mr. Foster earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1968.
Earlier, he graduated with High Honors from Clemson University in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
While at Clemson, he served as President of the Student Senate, was active in many organizations, and was selected for Tau Beta Pi, Blue Key, and Who’s Who (junior and senior years).
