Newberry was Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Strategy Officer of The Medicines Co. from February 2006 to January 26, 2009.
Prior to joining Medicines, she held various positions with the Pharma Group of sanofi-aventis, including Deputy Vice President of the People Development from January 2005 to December 2005, HR Integration Officer from July 2004 to December 2004 and Vice President of Human Resources Strategy from January 2003 to July 2004.
Ms. Newberry spent 14 years with sanofi pasteur, where she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources from August 1998 to 2002, Vice President of Executive Compensation and Development from 1997 to July 1998 and Vice President of Human Resources for the U.S.
Business Unit from 1989 to 1996.
Ms. Newberry began her pharmaceuticals career at SmithKline Beckman, where she held a variety of human resources positions from 1980 to 1989.
She received a BA from Swarthmore College and an MS in Human Resources Development from American University/NTL.
