André Borrel

Andre Borrel is a Director of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and Secor, Inc. and a Trustee of the Martlet Foundation of McGill University and has been a Director of Zarlink Semiconductor, Inc. since 1998 and Senior Advisor of Stikeman Elliott since May 5, 2003.
He is a Director of Chartered Semiconductor, an Officer of the French National Order of Merit and a Consultant of Telemedia Ventures, Inc. Mr. Borrel is a Director of the Advisory Board of Leica Microsystems AG, a Member of SFK Pulp Fund and a Director and a Member of the Audit Committee of ITS Investments Limited Partnership and Transcontinental, Inc. He served in senior management positions with Motorola, Inc. in Europe and the United States from 1967 to 1994, as Executive Chairman of Telemedia Corporation from February 2000 to May 2003 and as Partner of McCarthy Tetrault since 1984.
Mr. Borrel joined National Semiconductor in 1979 and held senior executive positions in world sales and marketing and general management and joined Zarlink as President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2001.
He received a Bachelor of Law from McGill University, a Master of Business Administration from McGill University and Master's Degree in Electronics from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris.
