RealDolmen,  onafhankelijke  aanbieder  van  single-source  ICT  oplossingen  en
kennisbedrijf,  kondigt vandaag aan  dat Michel Akkermans  heeft aanvaard om als
onafhankelijk  bestuurder te zetelen bij RealDolmen en dat hij werd verkozen als
nieuwe Voorzitter in opvolging van Ashley W. Abdo van The Gores Group.

Michel  Akkermans  is  thans  CEO  en  Voorzitter van Clear2Pay, een vernieuwend
e-finance  bedrijf  dat  zich  toespitst  op  het leveren van globaal toepasbare
oplossingen  voor  veilige  en  tijdige  elektronische  betalingen. Michel heeft
bewezen een pionier te zijn in e-finance en heeft in 1989 FICS opgericht dat een
marktleider  was  in  software  voor  online  bankieren en verplichte financiële
rapportering.  In 1999 zijn FICS, samen met Edify en Vertical One, gefuseerd met
Security  First Technologies, tot de internet banking marktleider S1 Corporation
(Nasdaq:  SONE) met  Michel als  Voorzitter. Naast  zijn rol van Chief Executive
Officer  bij  Clear2Pay  heeft  Michel  meerdere  bestuursmandaten  waaronder de
beursgenoteerde    "privak"    Quest    for   Growth,   een   Belgisch   privaat
investeringsfonds,  Approach,  een  ICT  dienstverlener,  Enqio, een bedrijf dat
oplossingen  aanbiedt  voor  data  mining  en  Agfa-Gevaert  Groep.  Hij was ook
bestuurder  bij Gemplus (nu Gemalto) dat  op Euronext staat genoteerd, bij Capco
en  bij  het  Amerikaanse  bedrijf  Proficient.  Michel adviseert verder venture
capital  en  private  equity  fondsen  zoals  GIMV  ICT,  Big  Bang  Ventures en
Hummingbird. Hij is burgerlijk ingenieur elektronica en computerwetenschappen en
behaalde een diploma economie en financiën aan de Universiteit Leuven.
