Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) is a Government-funded public body that aims to achieve economic prosperity through driving economic development and regeneration, developing business competitiveness, and improving skills base. As a business-led organization, the NWDA provides a link between Government policies and the needs of the region's businesses. In addition to Government funding, the NWDA manages the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) in the Northwest.

The Local Government Association is the national voice of local government in the UK. The non-profit company is based in London, UK and has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom. The British company works with councils to support, promote and improve local government. Mark Lloyd has been the CEO of the company since 2015.
