Theresa Widdifield

Ms. Widdifield comes to Leeward Hedge Funds with over 15 years of experience in finance and project management.
Most recently she served as Chief Financial Officer of CertaPay Inc., which developed a financial software product, a real-time person-to-person email money transfer system that was sold to all the major Canadian banks.
While at CertaPay, she raised capital for the continuing operations of the company and managed all the financial aspects as well as co-managing the Human Resources and Administrative Departments.
She was instrumental in the eventual sale of the company to the Canadian banks.
Prior to that Ms. Widdifield contributed to the growth of Trimark Investment Management Inc., first by overseeing Corporate, Treasury and Fund Accounting as well as Financial Policy Making and Investor Relations.
As Assistant Vice-President, Finance, she launched a segregated funds program, coordinated the purchase and integration of Bayshore Trust Company and served as chairperson on Trimark's Risk Management Committee.
As Assistant Vice-President, Project Management, Ms. Widdifield investigated the merits of new corporate initiatives, which resulted in the introduction of new products, corporate alliances and lines of business.
Prior to Trimark, she worked for Ernst & Young, organizing audits of public, private and not-for-profit companies.
Ms. Widdifield is a C.A.
and holds several securities accreditations and an MBA (Finance) from York University.
