Raed Kanaan

Mr. Kanaan joined SHUAA Partners after spending over 12 years with ABN AMRO and Citigroup.
During his career, Mr. Kanaan worked with companies across several industries including: oil & gas, power, water, aluminum, petrochemicals, telecommunications, airline and cement.
Prior to joining SHUAA Partners, Mr. Kanaan was Head of Energy & Resources, Middle East at ABN AMRO and was involved in several multi-billion project financings and M&A transactions in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Jordan.
During his years at Citigroup, Mr. Kanaan held several responsibilities within the corporate and investment bank.
He primarily focused on the origination and structuring of debt transactions (securitization, capital markets issues and US-EXIM backed transactions) for companies and governments in Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey and Jordan.
Mr. Kanaan holds a BSc and MSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics and is a CFA charterholder.
He is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
