The firm’s thin film equipment is used for creating optical coatings, protective barriers, passivation layers and anti-corrosion solutions in spaces where other coating methods cannot be applied. The company’s atomic layer deposition products and services include wafer processing ALD, batch processing ALD, ALD research equipment, development and coating services which are used in moisture barriers, optical coatings, anti-tarnish coatings, anti-corrosion coatings and decorative coatings of optics, photovoltaics, displays, glass and electronics industries. Beneq was founded in May 2005 by Sampo Ahonen, Jari-Pekka Tiesmäki and Tommi Vainio and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.
