Zeljezara Split dd SteelNon-Energy Minerals Zeljezara Split dd with the main office in Kastel Sucurac was founded on March 6, 1968 under name Adriasider. Within the company there was a steel-mill in which a machine for continuous casting of steel was placed, first at that time in Yugoslavia, as well as plants of rolling mill and cold treatment of steel / HP/ The main activity was manufacturing of steel beams, construction armature, rolled concrete steel and rolled wire. By merging of 'Adriasider' and 'Investment group for building of integral steelworks at the Adriatic 'in 1970 a new company under title JADRANSKA ZELJEZARA SPLIT was founded. Due to the business with loss the company was liquidated in 1986 and the cold treatment of steel plant in Kastel Sucurac ceased to work. A new company under title ZELJEZARA SPLIT was founded. After the breakdown and liquidation of company Dalmastroj Split in 1988 Zeljezara Split was incorporated to their plant of cold treatment of steel on Mostine-Split so Zeljezara Split again had within its system the manufacturing of cold rolled steel wires for welded armatures, welded armature nets, fine nets and forks of various forms and dimensions. Zeljezara Split was on December 17, 1994 registered as the shareholders company. In order to achieve the competitiveness of ZS products on market in 2001 an investment in new technology and new equipment was done. The holder of the modernization was Austrian company 'VOEST ALPINE Industrieanlagenbau Gmbh '-Linz. The investment cost some 25 million of Euros and it included the modernization of electric-light oven / ELP/ and double konti casting and building of new pot oven / LP/in steelworks plant. The renewed plant started to work in March 2002 with the annual capacity of approximately 190,000 tons of steel beams in quality of low carbon steel, average carbon steel and low alloyed steel. In rolling mill plant a new pressure oven / PP/ was placed with the capacity of 30 t/h and a rolling line was modernized , the new plant for thermo treatment of ribbed concrete steel installed , the area of colding desk and the area of 'adjustment' reconstructed. The reconstructed plant started to work in October 2002 with the annual capacity of 170.,000 tons of smooth or ribbed concrete steel in bars. A new line in rolling mill plant is planned to be built where smooth and ribbed steel beams would be produced and delivered in 720 kg discs. | Algemeen Directeur | - |
