Dr. Michael Afanasiev is a Fund of Funds Director at Cube Capital LLP.
He has been with Cube since inception in 2003.
He helped to launch the Fund of Funds platform where he continues to contribute both to the investment and operational processes.
Currently, Dr. Afanasiev is responsible for macroeconomic research, fund analysis and monitoring underlying funds.
Prior to joining Cube, he gained experience in equity trading at Intrast Financial Company between 1997 and 1999, in commercial banking at Interprombank between 2000 and 2001.
He also worked in corporate finance at NK Rosneft between 1995 and 1996, and at MFO Menatep between 2002 and 2003.
Dr. Afanasiev holds a Ph.D.
in Economics which he was awarded from the Finance Academy in Moscow in 2002, his area of study was speculative capital, hedge funds and their impact on economic stability.
