Central Bank of Venezuela General GovernmentGovernment Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) is the Venezuelan Government's central bank. Created by law in 1939, the Bank's fundamental objective is to achieve price stability and preserve the internal and external value of the currency as part of public policies designed to facilitate economic development in Venezuela. Based in Caracas, BCV formulates and carries out monetary policy, participates in designing and carrying out exchange rate policy, regulates currency, credit and interest rates, and administers international reserves.
