Dr. Luiz Carlos Mendonça de Barros is a Chairman & Founding Partner at AZ Quest Investimentos Ltda.
He was previously employed as Financial Analyst by Investbanco, Founding Partner by Corretora Patente, a brokerage house with a seat on the São Paulo Stock Exchange, Planibanc, an Investment bank and brokerage firm, in association with Bankers Trust and four of the largest Brazilian industrial groups: Votorantin, Brasmotor, Bardella and Pão de Açucar; as Director by Central Bank of Brazil, responsible for Capital Markets, Founder by Banco Matrix, a very successful Investment Bank and Asset Management Company, President by BNDES and Minister of Telecommunications by Goverment of Brazil.
Dr. Mendonça de Barros holds a BS in Production Engineering from Escola Politecnica of University of São Paulo and a PhD in Economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP).
