Until he retired in December 2000, John was the Senior Vice-President (Head), Global Operations (all manufacturing distribution) at Estée Lauder, having played a major rôle in that company's impressive growth over the last 20 years.
Before joining Estée Lauder, he held senior positions with Cadbury Scweppes and Cheseborough Ponds.
A Director since February 2002, John has since July 2003 taken on the new role of Non Executive Deputy Chairman.
To ensure our adherence to the best corporate practices, John will take overall responsibility for Board committees on corporate governance, directors and managers' remuneration and audit.
