Created in 2001, the firm is headquartered in Santiago and manages a range of mutual funds for private investors, companies and institutions in Latin America, Europe and Asia. LarrainVial AM is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment of the United Nations Organization (UNPRI).

Santander Asset Management SA AGF (SAM-AGF) is the Chile-based asset management subsidiary of Santander Asset Management Investment Holdings Ltd., which is owned by Banco Santander SA (BME: SAN) in Spain. The firm was founded in 1993 as Santiago SA Administradora de Fondos Mutuos. They merged with O'Higgins Administradora de Fondos Mutuos SA in 1997 and was renamed Santander S.A. Administradora General de Fondos in 2003. In 2007, the firm became Santander Asset Management SA Administradora General De Fondos. Headquartered in Santiago, SAM-AGF manages the Santander fund range for individual and institutional investors.

BCI Asset Management Administradora General de Fondos SA (BCI Asset Management) is the fund management subsidiary of Banco de Credito e Inversiones SA (SSE: BCI) in Chile. The firm was founded as Bancredito Administradora de Fondos Mutuos SA in 1988 to distribute mutual funds as an investment alternative for companies, as a vehicle for managing their cash surpluses. They changed their name to BCI Asset Management Administradora General de Fondos SA in 2008 and expanded their business to include investment fund management, private investment funds and portfolio management services. In 2011, BCI Asset Management and Bci Administradora General de Fondos merged, integrating private equity funds that invest in real estate assets.
