Mr. de Garmo joined Sterling Capital Management per the merger of de Garmo & Kelleher in October 2010.
He co-founded Garmo & Kelleher in 1990.
He entered the investment field in 1966 and was responsible for the significant growth of total managed assets at Foxhall Investment Management, where he attained the position of company president.
In 1984, he joined the investment counsel firm of Davidge & Company and served as Senior Manager until 1990, when he and Michael Kelleher founded de Garmo & Kelleher.
Mr. de Garmo has served on various finance and investment committees and was treasurer of the Visiting Nurse Association of Washington, as well as a member of the board of Medlantic Healthcare Group.
Mr. de Garmo graduated from Princeton University in 1960 with a degree in History and received an M.B.A.
from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
