David Mendonca Silveira

Mr. David M.
Silveira, CFA MBA, is Director, Investment Strategy & Research at Opes Advisors, Inc. He has over 14 years of investment industry experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative investment manager due diligence and security analysis, as well as constructing investment portfolios for both institutional and retail clients.
Mr. Silveira assists in the development of the firm’s asset allocation strategy and works with Opes’ Wealth Advisors in communicating the firm’s investment strategy.
Before joining Opes Advisors, he was Vice President at Fuller & Thaler Asset Management, an institutional investment manager.
Prior to that, he was previously Senior Team Manager of Investment Manager Research for Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. He was also an Investment Analyst with mPower Advisors, LLC and conducted high yield bond research with Franklin Templeton Investments.
Mr. Silveira holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and studied at ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
David also holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
