Brian R. Connell

Mr. Connell has over 15 years’ experience in the securities industry, as an equity analyst and portfolio manager, and as the founder and CEO of venture-backed StreetFusion (acquired by CCBN/StreetEvents and eventually by Thomson Financial), creators of an online application serving the institutional investment community.
On the sellside, Mr. Connell served as the technology analyst for Neovest, an Atlanta-based boutique, and as a Senior Analyst - Internet for Preferred Capital Markets, a boutique investment bank based in San Francisco, CA.
Early in his career, Mr. Connell also held the position of Executive Director, Marquis Capital Management, a startup technology-focused hedge fund and investment management organization.
Additionally, Mr. Connell was the founder and CEO of Harbinger Research, now one of the better-known independent research firms for small-cap and micro-cap companies.
Mr. Connell holds degrees in Economics and Psychology from Duke University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Connell is also proficient in Spanish and holds a Private Pilot License.
